IN CHRISTY’S SHOES
It was the spring of 2007 when, facing the tragic loss of one of the links in their chain, twin sister Katrina and two lifelong friends decided to honor Christy by holding a remembrance luncheon, vowing that Christy would always be remembered and to celebrate her love of shoes.
Christy’s passion for helping people was the inspiration behind the decision to support women by collaborating with nonprofits. In Christy’s Shoes, which began in Columbus, Ohio, has stepped into other states as they continue to focus on the spirit of Christy and giving back.
In Christy’s Shoes now hosts annual Sole Celebrations, which are fundraising events that provide awareness and funds for programs that support women on their journeys of personal growth. These programs support women experiencing homelessness, unemployment, domestic abuse, substance abuse, human trafficking, and brain cancer.
